ABOUT ELLISHA

Ellisha is a native of Phoenix Arizona and a lifelong artist of henna, belly dance, and performance art. After completing her bachelors of science in botany from Arizona State in1998 she started a career in the arts. While traveling with the renaissance festival as a belly dancer Ellisha discovered henna tattoos while working as hostesses of a henna booth. Inspired by the sheer beauty and variety of the art form Ellisha began practicing henna herself. Within a few short years was one of the most renowned henna artists in the greater Phoenix area. One of the main reasons Ellisha loves henna is due to the temporary nature of the art.

The art of henna is commonly referred to as henna tattoos, but the end result is not permanent. The representation of henna is an inspiration in a reflecting a moment in time, and people seldom get the same henna design twice. As a henna artist for more than a decade Ellisha truly epitomizes the word professional, and always strives for perfection. Ellisha’s friendly, outgoing nature makes her an asset to any party, and the love she displays for her work leaves a lasting impression.
